Restaurant Details

You're about to find out what Lake Worth/Palm Springs locals have known for a couple of years.  THIS PLACE ROCKS!!!  Up until very recently, this popular local hangout was known as Mike & Mike's.  Basically the only thing different is a new name and a coat of paint.  Regulars will be happy to know that the same friendly bartenders and servers are there, the same management, and most importantly the same great menu, prices, and live entertainment.

New customers need to know this.  Chef John Roth, who came from Bizaare Ave. Cafe, is at the helm in the kitchen.  This little joint puts out great food!  Every menu item includes ingredients that are bought locally and never premade.  Chef John says, "So when you get the mozzarella sticks, I'm literally back there pulling the fresh mozzarella and frying it to order."  Same goes for the buttermilk-battered chicken tenders, served alongside his own bleu cheese or ranch dressings. Even the tortilla chips, salsa, and guacamole are Roth's creations -- nothing store bought or prepackaged.

One "must try" appetizer is the Monte Cristo Spring Rolls; citrus-marinated, slow-roasted pork rolled with ham and Swiss cheese, and flash-fried to order in a crispy rice-paper wrap, served with a Mojo aioli. Of course, what would a sports bar be without wings? At Johnny Q's, they've got a wall dedicated to those who choose to participate in the "Wall of Flame." Anyone who can eat a dozen of their hottest wings will have their picture taken and will be up there on that wall.  This secret wing sauce is so hot you'll have to sign a waiver to try it!  Of course those who don't have asbestos palates have a variety of wings that they'll love, too.  Baby Back Ribs are fall-off-the-bone delicious.  Prime Rib is juicy and succulent.  And breakfasts bring forth huges portions at the best value in the area!

Bottom line, Johnny Q's is a local, neighborhood hang out that serves really great food.  New comers are made to feel welcome by the staff and if the quality of the food and the prices of the drinks don't make you want to become a regular, the excellent live entertainment will!
